Swing reach trucks are meant for use in warehouses that require high stacking in extremely narrow aisles. Once material is loaded onto the forks, it can swing from the back to the front of the truck, allowing for 180 degree rotation, without turning the entire machine around. The three-point structure of the truck renders it stable and gives it a greater capacity at high elevations. Swing reach trucks use 30-40% less aisle space than regular narrow aisle reach trucks, although they can sometimes be more expensive. Aisle widths can be as small as 66 inches if cleared, however, allowing for effective storage processes in extremely narrow spaces.
